Please read through this page carefully to avoid having your appointment cancelled and losing the booking deposit.  

HOW OUR PRICING WORKS

Your piercing appointment has two separate costs:

1. PIERCING PROCEDURE FEE The price shown in our online booking system covers the piercing procedure. This is paid in full when booking and secures your appointment time.

2. JEWELLERY

Jewellery is not included in the online booking price. You’ll choose your jewellery during your appointment and pay for it separately in the studio.

• Implant-grade titanium starts from $75 per piece

• Solid gold starts from $150 per piece

• Solid gold designs featuring genuine stones or diamonds can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars

For paired piercings, two pieces of jewellery are required.

Your total appointment cost will be the piercing procedure fee, plus the jewellery you choose.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES

We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours, along with missed appointments, will result in the loss of your piercing procedure fee. Booked services cannot be removed or cancelled when you arrive for your appointment.

LATE ARRIVALS

Please arrive on time so we can provide your full service without affecting the appointments that follow. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to complete your appointment. Your appointment will need to be cancelled, and your piercing procedure fee will be forfeited.

PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED

Every client receiving a service must bring a valid, government-issued photo ID, such as a:

• Driver licence

• Passport

• NSW Photo Card or equivalent government-issued proof-of-age card

Student ID cannot be accepted.

Minors must attend with their parent or legal guardian. Both the minor’s age and the relationship between the minor and guardian must be confirmed. Please bring the appropriate identification, such as a passport or driver licence, along with a Medicare card or birth certificate showing the relationship.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

16 years and over

You may consent to most piercing services without a parent or guardian when you provide valid photo ID.

18 years and over
You must be at least 18 to receive an intimate piercing.

13–15 years
Selected piercings are available with a parent or legal guardian present. These include:

• Earlobes

• Helix

• Nostril

Navel piercings are not offered to anyone under 16.

Under 10 years
Earlobe piercings are the only piercing service available.

If you’re unsure whether a service is suitable for your age, please contact us before booking. If an appointment is booked for a service we cannot legally or safely provide, the piercing procedure fee may be forfeited.

CHILDREN'S EARLOBE SERVICES

A consultation is required before booking an earlobe piercing for a child under 10.

If you are planning on having your child's ears pierced, READ HERE FIRST

Please do not book the piercing appointment first. Use our online booking system to arrange a consultation with you and your child. This gives them the chance to visit the studio, meet us, understand what will happen and make sure they feel comfortable before their piercing appointment is booked.

JEWELLERY 

For quality, safety and correct sizing, we only pierce with brand-new jewellery purchased from Sacred Art.

We cannot use jewellery purchased elsewhere or previously worn jewellery in a new piercing.

Every piece is selected to suit the piercing placement and your individual anatomy. We’ll guide you through the available options during your appointment.

HEALTH AND MEDICATIONS

Some health conditions and medications can affect whether it is safe to perform a piercing. If you have any health concerns, please contact us before booking.

Please speak with us before booking if you are currently taking—or have taken within the past 12 months—medication that affects the skin, particularly Roaccutane or isotretinoin.

We do not perform piercing services during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

We also recommend eating a meal or snack a few hours before your appointment.

Sacred Art is located in Newcastle, NSW, Australia.

Please make sure you are booking with the correct studio and location. We cannot refund payments made in error by international clients.
